Called To Be A Face Of Providence!
Vows of Chastity
The vow of chastity or consecrated celibacy arises from a hunger to find a love so immense that it impels us to give our whole life in one fell swoop, trusting that God has an infinite desire and capacity for our well being and happiness.
A characteristic of the call to religious life is a desire to love more and more people, to see all God's children, especially the most needy, as the ones with a primary right to our care and love. Sisters of Divine Providence attempt to life in such a way that all the people they meet know God's tender love for them. The vow of chastity requires that we do not marry. We choose celibacy as a way to be unconditionally attached to Jesus Christ.
