Epiphany 2015 - Manifestation of God's Providential Love.

January 2015

Epiphany 2015 was a real manifestation of God’s providential love. During the 9:00 Mass in Immaculate Conception Chapel, a simple ceremony welcomed Sr. Kay Kramer back into community. Kay renewed her vows, received copies of the Chapter Acts of the 2013 General Chapter and 2014 Provincial Chapter, and was missioned to mirror God’s all embracing love at St. Elizabeth Hospital and in local community at St. Philip’s.  Sisters Rose Magdalen and Agnes Clare  presented Kay with roses and radiant smiles after the liturgy.

That evening sisters again gathered in chapel as Sr. Mary Florence Anyabounwu was received as a canonical novice.  Again the ceremony was simple and prayerful with just a bit of drumming to accompany the organ.   The scripture reading was done in Igbo as well as English. Several women religious and other friends of Flo came representing her African origins.  Flo and friends danced into the reception in Providence Hall accompanied by drums and singing.  Of course there were plenty of snacks, well wishes and promises of prayer.
