Sister Fidelis Tracy, CDP, a theology professor at Thomas More College and Scripture scholar, will cover the basics about the four Gospels in a four-week course on Sunday afternoons. An inclusive and welcoming community, God Space is providing these one-hour sessions for those who may have read the Bible, but didn’t understand it. “We have been talking about this program as ‘Everything you wish you’d learned in religious education (or did learn but forgot),’“ says Sister Leslie Keener, CDP. “The perspective will be Catholic, but I think there will be something for everyone.”
The sessions begin on May 20, and will be offered in a relaxed atmosphere. Sister Leslie says, “The program will be informal but also instructional. I think people will come away with real learning, but they'll be really comfortable too.”
The advantage of getting familiar with Scripture is clear, Sister Leslie says. “Once we understand the Bible a little more, we can really hear what God is saying to us. Join other spiritual seekers in learning about the Bible in a space where there are no stupid questions. We'll make the Bible accessible. Also, we'll have cookies.”
