Several days after a beautiful Jubilee Ceremony, celebrating anniversaries of sisters’ profession of vows, the Sisters of Divine Providence came together on June 29 and 30th at St. Anne Province Center for their annual Summer Assembly. This is a semi-annual opportunity to pray and reflect together as well as socialize and enjoy catching up with sisters from across the province. The words from the call of the Provincial Chapter of 2014 “Risk personal transformation; Mirror God’s all embracing love; Be the face of Providence” were featured with reflective mirrors and crystals as the centerpiece of each table. The days provided inspiration and reflection and included guest speaker Sr. Nancy Kinross, CPPS who facilitated an experience of Communal Contemplative Dialogue on the opening morning.
Various reports and table discussions throughout the rest of the days were an opportunity to process the past year in living community and to prepare for what lies ahead. Inspiring and energizing liturgies and special meaningful prayer services were included in each day’s activities. The sisters celebrated the annual mission ceremony of sending each sister to be the face of Providence for another year in a particular ministry location. All gathered for a festive meal to conclude the Assembly. Sisters went back home again renewed and refreshed until they will gather again on December 29th for another opportunity to celebrate and share. Click Here for Photo Gallery
